The Settings page is organized into a handful of cards: Schedule Notifications, Clock-In/Out Alerts, Early/Late Tags, POS Sales Attribution, Schedule, and General (locations). Click Save after making changes.
Schedule Notifications
Email staff when a schedule is published — off by default. When on, publishing a week's schedule sends staff a Schedule Published email (see Publishing schedules and notifying staff). When off, no schedule-published emails go out at all, no matter what's selected in the publish window.
Clock-In/Out Alerts
Notify admin on clock-in/out events — off by default. When on, an email is sent to your notification address every time a staff member clocks in or out on POS.
Notification email — only shown when the toggle above is on. Defaults to your shop's Shopify account email, auto-filled when you first install the app. This is the address that receives clock-in/out alert emails; it must be a valid email address.
Early/Late Tags
Enable early/late tags on timesheets — on by default. Turns the whole Early In / Late In / Early Out / Late Out tagging system on or off. When off, no tags are ever calculated, no matter what the buffer is set to.
Buffer (minutes) — only shown when tags are enabled. Defaults to 5, adjustable from 0–60. This is the grace window around a shift's scheduled start and end before a clock event counts as early or late. See Early/late tags and POS sales attribution.
POS Sales Attribution
Attribute POS sales to clocked-in staff — on by default. Controls whether Team Shift automatically credits POS sales to whichever staff member was clocked in when the order was processed. Turning this off stops new attributions; it doesn't remove ones already made.
Schedule
Week starts on — Sunday or Monday, defaulting to Sunday. Controls the first day of the week shown in the Schedule page's week picker, and default date-range calculations elsewhere in the app.
General
Synced Shopify locations — a read-only list of the locations Team Shift has synced from Shopify, alongside a Re-sync locations button that forces an immediate re-sync, bypassing the normal once-per-hour throttle.
Locations all share a single timezone taken from your shop's account settings — Shopify doesn't expose a genuinely separate timezone per location, so every location's schedule and timesheet times use your shop's timezone, even if your locations are physically in different time zones.
