Since going live with Easy Appointment Booking in November 2025, AriZonaLand has:
- Sold out its first season within weeks of launching. Every date through March filled inside the first month, with over 750 bookings in the first 8 weeks
- Taken 1,758 bookings and welcomed 4,764 attendees, at an average group size of 2.7. It's a go-to experience people bring a friend or partner along to
- Built a repeat audience fast. 12.4% of customers, 186 of 1,494, have booked more than once, with the most loyal visitor returning 13 times
- Checked in 822 visitors on the ground, giving the ops team a real read on who actually walked through the door, not just who booked
(All figures current as of August 2026.)
A brand that needs no introduction
You already know the can. The tall, 99-cent, iconic beverage that we remember from the local store, sandwich shop, and college plaza. AriZona Iced Tea has been a fixture on shelves and in coolers since 1992, growing into one of the most recognized drink brands on the planet.
But what most people don't know is what happens behind the label. At their nearly 1 million square foot campus in Keasbey, New Jersey, AriZona built AriZonaLand, a one-of-a-kind destination where visitors discover the brand's rich history and innovation. From iconic flavors and bottle designs to founder Don Vultaggio's journey from truck driver to entrepreneur, tours give fans a firsthand look at AriZona's operations and how they craft their products with quality and sustainability in mind.
It's not a side project. It's a strategy. AriZona's leadership sees direct-to-consumer experiences as an extension of the brand's identity: accessible, fun, and refreshingly unpretentious. As the tour programme has proven itself in New Jersey, experiences have become a bigger piece of the AriZona playbook. And when the stakes are that high, the booking system has to keep up.
The challenge: Two tours, two audiences, one calendar
AriZonaLand's tour program isn't one-size-fits-all. They run two fundamentally different experiences.
Public tours are the open-door, come-one-come-all experience. Up to 24 visitors per slot. Instant approval. Walk through the campus, see the production lines running, learn the story behind the brand, and grab some merch on the way out. These are the tours that superfans book for their birthday and out-of-towners add to their New Jersey itinerary. They are the overwhelming majority of the programme: 1,681 of the 1,758 bookings to date.
Private tours are a much smaller stream, 77 bookings so far, but they carry a different kind of risk. School groups, corporate outings, and organizational visits need vetting before confirmation. The AriZonaLand team needs to know who is walking through the door, and not every request is a fit. A history class studying American manufacturing? Perfect. A group with no clear purpose? That needs a conversation first.
So the team needed one calendar that could do two opposite things: frictionless self-serve booking for the public, and a slower, screened path for private groups, without the private side leaking into the public flow.
The solution: Easy Appointment Booking, configured for control
The AriZonaLand team got set up on Easy Appointment Booking and opened an entire month of tour dates in one go. The system handled the volume immediately, with dozens of public tour slots, each capped at 24 visitors, booking out without a hitch.
The demand was instant. Within weeks of going live in November 2025, every date through March was fully booked. In the first 8 weeks alone, over 750 bookings came through. With an average group size of about 2.7 people per booking, the experience clearly resonates as something people share with friends, families, and fan groups booking together. It's a social outing as much as a campus tour.
Instant booking for public tours
Public tours use Easy Appointment Booking's standard flow: a visitor picks a date, selects a time slot, enters their details, and checks out. Instant confirmation. No friction. The slot capacity ensures the headcount never exceeds what the team can accommodate, and the calendar handles the rest.
The weekly pattern is remarkably consistent. Friday, Tuesday and Thursday carry roughly three quarters of all bookings, with Friday the single busiest day at 29%. That kind of predictable rhythm lets the ops team plan staffing with confidence and concentrate guides on the days that actually need them.
Delegating operations with Team Portals
AriZonaLand doesn't rely on a single admin to manage their booking calendar. They've set up team portals for both public and private tours, allowing staff members to manage bookings, check in visitors, and handle day-of logistics independently.
This delegation is critical at AriZonaLand's scale. With slots routinely filling, the operations team needs real-time visibility into who's actually arriving, not just who booked. Using Easy Appointment Booking's check-in feature, the team has logged 822 check-ins, giving them a clear read on their no-show rate and ensuring that post-visit emails and surveys only go to visitors who actually walked through the door.
Post-tour: The experience doesn't end at the door
For AriZona, the tour is just the beginning. Once a visitor walks through the campus, they become part of the brand's broader engagement ecosystem, and that's where the integrations come in.
Klaviyo email campaigns
AriZonaLand connects Easy Appointment Booking to Klaviyo, their email marketing platform, to power post-visit follow-ups. Rob's team requires that visitors subscribe to marketing emails as part of the booking process, ensuring every guest who walks through the door can be reached afterward.
"Every visitor subscribes for marketing during the booking process. From there, we run campaigns that include friend referrals, experience surveys, and product promotions. It's all connected!"
Those follow-ups aren't generic. AriZona runs targeted campaigns that turn a one-time visit into the start of a longer relationship:
- Friend referral emails that encourage visitors to share the experience and bring others
- Experience surveys that capture feedback on the tour to improve future visits
- Product promotions that surface new releases, seasonal flavors, and exclusive merch
The signals suggest it's working. 12.4% of customers have come back for another booking, with the most loyal visitor returning 13 times. That kind of repeat behavior, inside the first year, points to genuine word-of-mouth momentum.
What's next: Expansion, experimentation, and the flywheel
AriZona isn't standing still. The playbook they've built in New Jersey is already informing plans for a second tour location. As Rob put it when we spoke in early 2026:
"We're opening a new factory in Anaheim. It could be our second tour location!"
The team is also exploring:
- Shopify Flow and Okendo for automation and reviews. With Easy Appointment Booking's Shopify Flow triggers, every confirmed booking can fire a trigger that AriZona wires up to downstream workflows: Klaviyo profile creation, automated inventory adjustments for tour merch, internal Slack notifications, or loyalty-point awards through their Club 'Zona membership program. They're also evaluating the Okendo integration for post-tour review collection, feeding social proof back to the storefront. AriZona's Shopify ecosystem, built by their agency partner Avex on Shopify Plus, is already a sophisticated stack of integrations, and Easy Appointment Booking slots right into that architecture
- Post-visit revenue attribution to track how tour visitors convert into online customers after their visit, closing the loop between in-person experiences and eCommerce revenue
And the ambitions go well beyond campus tours. AriZona teased AriZonaLand to the public last year with a single email and racked up over 5,000 people on the waitlist. That kind of demand signals that the brand's experience-first strategy has legs far beyond the production floor.
The tour isn't an isolated marketing tactic. It's the entry point to a flywheel, one that starts with a booking, deepens with a Klaviyo follow-up, and compounds through referrals, reviews, and repeat purchases.
Why it works
AriZona is proof that booking infrastructure isn't just about filling time slots. It's about creating a system that respects the complexity of the business behind it.
- Tours need simplicity and operational oversight → instant booking with capacity controls, team portals, and check-in tracking
- Post-visit engagement needs data → Klaviyo integration with marketing opt-in
- Operations need flexibility → Shopify Flow triggers for any downstream workflow
- Growth needs repeatability → a model documented well enough to run again at the next site
Easy Appointment Booking didn't require AriZona to change how they operate. It gave them a system that operates the way they already think.
