Booking emails come from the app's email address unless you change it. There are two things you can change:
- Where replies go. Available on every plan.
- The address emails come from, such as
bookings@yourstore.com. Needs the Ultimate plan.
Choose where replies go
When a customer replies to a booking email, the reply goes to your store's contact email.
- Click Settings in the app menu.
- Click Email & SMS notifications.
- Scroll to Email Notification Settings.
- Type the address you want in Your primary contact email.
- Click Save.
Send from your own address
You need an email address on your own domain. Free addresses, such as Gmail or Yahoo, do not work.
- Click Settings > Email & SMS notifications.
- Find Custom Email Address.
- Check Setup a custom email address to send emails from.
- Fill in:
- From Email Address — for example,
bookings@yourstore.com. - From Name — the name customers see, such as your store name.
- Reply-To Email (Optional) — leave it blank to send replies to the from address.
- From Email Address — for example,
- Click Save Custom Email Address.
- Open the inbox of your from address. Find the email from support@postmarkapp.com and click the link in it.
- Go back to the app and click Check Verification.
When Email Confirmation shows as verified, booking emails start coming from your address.
If verification does not finish
- Look in the spam folder for the email from support@postmarkapp.com.
- Make sure you typed the from address correctly. To fix it, delete the custom address and add it again.
- If SPF Record does not show as verified, contact support. We will tell you what to add to your domain settings.
