Ask ChatGPT About Your Bookings

You can connect ChatGPT to your store. Then ask it questions such as "Who is booked tomorrow?" or "How many bookings did I get last month?"

ChatGPT can read your bookings, services, open times, staff, and customers. It can also change your hours, close a day, edit a service, move a booking, or change a setting. Before it changes anything, it shows you what will change and waits for you to say yes.

This needs the Ultimate plan and a ChatGPT account. You add the connection on chatgpt.com in a web browser, not in the mobile app.

Step 1: Copy the server address#

1. In Easy Appointment Booking, click Settings > Marketing & analytics.
2. In the ChatGPT section, click Connect ChatGPT.
3. Click Copy to copy the server address.

Step 2: Add it in ChatGPT#

1. Click Open ChatGPT, or open chatgpt.com on a computer and sign in.
2. Click Plugins, then click the + button.
3. Choose Add custom MCP server.
4. Name it Easy Appointment Booking and paste the server address.
5. Leave Authentication set to OAuth.
6. Read the warning, click I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.
7. Click Install.

Step 3: Allow access#

1. ChatGPT opens an Easy Appointment Booking page in your Shopify admin.
2. Check the list of what ChatGPT can see and change.
3. Click Allow.

You go back to ChatGPT. In Settings > Marketing & analytics, ChatGPT now shows as Connected.

Step 4: Start a chat#

1. Open a new chat.
2. Type @ and choose Easy Appointment Booking.
3. Ask your question.

Things to ask#

• "What does my day look like tomorrow?"
• "How many bookings and cancellations did we have in October?"
• "When is the next open time for a 60-minute massage?"
• "Close my store next Monday."
• "Move Sam's booking on Friday to 3pm."

ChatGPT uses your store's time zone, so "today" and "this week" mean the same as in your store.

Disconnect ChatGPT#

Go to Settings > Marketing & analytics. In the ChatGPT section, find the connection and click Disconnect. ChatGPT loses access right away. You can also delete the plugin in ChatGPT.

Disconnecting ChatGPT does not affect Claude.

If you move off the Ultimate plan, ChatGPT stops working until you upgrade again.

Can't sign in? Use a private link#

Some ChatGPT workspaces do not allow sign-in for custom MCP servers. You can use a private link instead.

1. In the ChatGPT section, click Use a private link, then Make link.
2. Click Copy. The link is shown one time only.
3. In ChatGPT, add a custom MCP server as in Step 2, paste the link, and set Authentication to No authentication.

Keep the link private, like a password. Anyone who has it can see and change your bookings. If you think someone else has it, click New link. The old link stops working.
