Easy Appointment Booking never takes or holds your customers' money. Customers pay through your Shopify checkout, or at the counter with Shopify POS, using the payment methods you already set up in Shopify.
How a booking payment works
- The customer pays at checkout. Shopify creates an order.
- Shopify takes the payment, the same as for any product.
- The money is in your normal Shopify payout.
- The app links the booking to the order.

- Orders in Shopify — each booking's order and payment status
- Analytics in Shopify — sales reports, including bookings
- Finances > Payouts in Shopify — money paid to your bank
Deposits
With deposits, the deposit is one Shopify order and the rest is a second one, paid by Shopify invoice. Both are normal Shopify payments.
Refunds
Cancelling a booking does not refund the customer, unless you check Refund the customer (if applicable) when you cancel, or you turned on automatic refunds. See Refund customers automatically.
