Change the Product or Variants for a Service

Each service is linked to one Shopify product. You can change which variants of that product take bookings. You cannot move a service to a different product. To use a different product, copy the service onto the new product.

Change the variants#

A variant is one option of a product, such as "60 minutes" or "Adult".

1. On the Dashboard, click Edit on the service.
2. On the General tab, find Variants.
3. Check each variant that customers can book. Clear the ones they cannot.
4. Click Save in the bar at the top of the page.

A variant can belong to only one service. A variant that another service uses is grayed out and shows Assigned to with that service's name. To move it, clear it on the other service first.

If you see No variants left to assign, every variant is used by another service. Add a new variant to the product in Shopify, or clear a variant on the other service.

Bookings that customers already made stay on the service when you change its variants.

Use a different product#

The app has no setting to change a service's product. Copy the service onto the new product instead:

1. On the Dashboard, click Edit on the service.
2. On the General tab, scroll to Administration.
3. Next to Duplicate event, click Duplicate.
4. In Shopify's product picker, choose the new product.
5. Type an Event name and click Duplicate.
6. Check the settings of the new service, then click Save.
7. Open the old service and turn it off. See Turn off or delete a service.

Old bookings stay on the old service. They do not move to the new one.

The copy counts toward your plan's limit of active services until you turn off the old one. If Duplicate is grayed out, you are at the limit. On the Free plan (one active service), turn off the old service first, then copy it. See Copy an event.

Change the product's name, price, or photo#

Change these in Shopify, not in the app. At the top of the service page, click Edit Product Page to open the product in your Shopify admin.
