Copy or Duplicate an Event
Last reviewed: 2026-08-05
The Duplicate Event feature copies an existing event's configuration to a new event. It is useful when you offer similar services, use variants for different durations, or need the same setup for another location.
Duplicate an event
- In Easy Appointment Booking, open the event's Edit page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Click Duplicate Event.
- Choose the Shopify product to connect to the new event.
- Open the new event's Manage page and update any details that are different.
The new event inherits the original event's settings, but it is connected to the product you selected.
Create a separate availability for the copy
Duplicating an event does not create a new availability. If the copy needs its own schedule, staff member, or calendar:
- Open the duplicated event and go to Availability.
- Create a new availability, or duplicate an existing availability from Availability > Set Schedule > Duplicate Availability.
- Assign the new availability to the duplicated event.
- Remove the copied availability if the new event should not share the original schedule.
Check the availability assignment before publishing the duplicated event. Sharing an availability is intentional when the services use the same staff or resource, but it also means a booking for one service can block the same time on the other.
Common uses
- Create the same service for a different Shopify product.
- Create separate events for product variants with different schedules.
- Create a location-specific copy and assign it to a different availability.
- Start from a proven setup instead of re-entering every event setting.
