When a customer opens your booking calendar, they see a list of available time slots. Enabling spots remaining adds a small capacity indicator to each slot — for example, "3 / 10 available" — so customers can see how full a session is at a glance.
This does two things: it helps customers pick a time that suits their group size, and it creates genuine urgency on popular slots without any manipulation.
Enabling spots remaining
- In the app, go to Settings > General Settings.
- Scroll to the section When customers are browsing available time slots.
- Check Show number of available spots for each timeslot.
- Click Save.
Once enabled, every timeslot button in your booking calendar shows the current available count and the total capacity. For example, if your yoga class holds 10 people and 7 have already booked, customers see 3 / 10 available.
Customizing the label text
The default label is {{{available}}} / {{{total}}} available. You can change the wording — or translate it — in Settings > Text and Language.
- Go to Settings > Text and Language.
- Search for Spots available in a timeslot.
- Edit the value. Use
{{{available}}}where you want the number of open spots and{{{total}}}where you want the total capacity.
Some examples:
{{{available}}} spots left{{{available}}} of {{{total}}} seats open- Only
{{{available}}} remaining
Keep the label short. Customers scan quickly, so "3 / 10 available" or "3 spots left" is easier to read than a full sentence.
How it interacts with group bookings
If you've enabled group bookings — where a single booking can reserve multiple spots — the available count updates to reflect the remaining capacity after accounting for each group's size.
For example, if a class holds 10 people and a group of 4 has already booked, the remaining count shows 6 (not 9 individual bookings). This ensures the number customers see matches what they can actually reserve.
See Group Bookings and Guest Management for more on setting up group bookings.
Sold-out timeslots
By default, fully booked timeslots are hidden from the calendar. If you'd rather keep them visible (greyed out) so customers can see popular times, enable Show sold-out timeslots as unavailable in Settings > General Settings.
Showing "0 spots available" and hiding a sold-out slot are two different behaviors. The Show number of available spots setting controls the label; the Show sold-out timeslots as unavailable setting controls whether fully booked slots appear at all. Configure both to get the experience you want.
When sold-out slots are visible, they show "Sold out" in place of the spots count and appear greyed out so customers know they cannot book that time. This is especially useful for high-demand events — seeing a full calendar communicates social proof and encourages customers to book earlier next time.
