Booking for pottery, art, and craft workshops on Shopify
Studios that sell finished pieces on Shopify can sell their workshops there too. Each wheel or easel is a spot, each workshop date is a time, and guests book and pay in one checkout. Repeat students buy a pack of sessions, and the glaze, clay, and paint they want to take home go in the same cart.

What you need from booking
Spots that match the equipment
Eight wheels means eight spots, however many people want to come.
One-off workshops and weekly courses
A Saturday taster and a six-week course need different setups.
Open studio time
Members book a wheel for two hours outside class times.
One page for every workshop
Customers want to browse the month and pick a workshop, not hunt through products.
An example setup
Three services that show how the pieces fit. Change the names, lengths, and prices to your own.
| Service | Length | Capacity | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wheel taster | 2 hours | 8 wheels | $75 per person |
| Open studio | 2 hours | 4 wheels | $30, or 1 credit from a pack |
| Paint and sip night | 2 hours | 20 easels | $55 per person |
The taster and open studio share the wheels' availability, so a class and open studio can never book more wheels than you have. The paint night runs On a few specific days. A 5-session open-studio pack is a package.

Before you set it up
- A six-week course is not one booking. Sell it as a package, or make each week a date the student books.
- Kiln firing and pick-up days are not bookings. Put them in the confirmation email instead.
- Show spots left on each time. A taster with 2 of 8 spots left sells faster.
Common questions
Can students book all six weeks of a course at once?
Each booking is one date. Sell the course as a package of six sessions, and students book each week with the link in their email.
Can I put all my workshops on one calendar page?
Yes. A month calendar of every service lets customers browse and book from one page.
Can I ask for a signed waiver?
Yes. A Signature intake question collects it before the guest pays. Intake questions need the Standard plan or higher.
