Multiple Ticket Types

Ticket types let you charge different prices for the same timeslot. A farm tour can sell Adult at $30, Child at $15, and Baby at $0, and a customer can book two adults and one child in a single checkout. You get one booking back with the quantities of each type on it.
Ticket types are available on the Pro Plus plan and higher. You can upgrade from Settings > Pricing in the app.
How it works
When you turn on ticket types, the app creates one Shopify variant per ticket type on that service's product, under a product option called Ticket type. From then on you manage the names and prices from inside the app, and the app keeps the Shopify variants in step.
On your storefront, the customer picks a date and time, then sees a Select your tickets section with a counter for each ticket type instead of the usual attendee counter. Their choices become one cart line per ticket type at checkout, and the app collapses those lines back into a single booking.
The Ticket type option name is visible to customers on cart lines, at checkout, and on their order receipt. It is deliberately plain so it reads naturally to buyers.
Turning on ticket types
- Open the Easy Appointment Booking dashboard and go to your service.
- Scroll down to the Sell multiple ticket types card.
- Switch the toggle on. A confirmation window explains that the app will create variants on this product.
- Choose Turn on ticketing.
- Fill in a Ticket name and a Price for the first ticket type, for example "Adult" and "30".
- Choose Add ticket type for each additional price point.
- Choose Save.
Saving creates the variants in Shopify. Give it a moment, then check your storefront: the booking calendar now shows the ticket picker.
Set a price of 0 for a ticket type you want to give away, like an infant or a carer ticket. It still takes a spot in the timeslot, so your headcount stays accurate.
What you can and cannot set
- You can have between 1 and 20 ticket types on a service.
- Ticket names must be unique on that service. "Adult" and "adult" count as the same name.
- Prices must be 0 or more.
- Ticket types cannot be combined with Fixed price booking, Book without payment, or subscription products. If any of those are on, the ticketing toggle is disabled and hovering it tells you which one to turn off first.
Changing prices and names later
Edit ticket names and prices in the Sell multiple ticket types card, then Save. The app renames or reprices the matching Shopify variant for you.
Edit ticket prices and names in the app, not in the Shopify product admin. Editing the variants directly in Shopify puts your service out of step with what customers see on the booking calendar.
If a ticket variant does get renamed, repriced, or deleted from the Shopify admin, the service page shows a Ticket types were changed in Shopify warning listing exactly what changed. Choose Import changes from Shopify to accept what Shopify now holds and save it back onto the service.
Customers are never charged the wrong amount while a service is out of step. Checkout always prices from Shopify. Only the prices displayed on the booking calendar can be stale.
Removing a ticket type
Use the delete button on a ticket type row and Save. The matching variant is removed from the Shopify product.
Bookings that already used that ticket type keep their own record of what was sold, so past orders, emails, and reports stay correct.
Turning ticket types off
Switch the toggle off and Save. Your ticket names and prices are kept, so you can switch it back on later without setting them up again. The service goes back to selling at the single product price.
The Ticket type option and the Servicify Ticketing tag stay on the Shopify product. If you want them gone, remove them from the Shopify product admin.
How capacity works
Capacity is counted across all ticket types together. If a timeslot has 10 spots and someone books 2 adults and 1 child, 3 spots are used and 7 remain.
There is no per-type limit, so you cannot cap a timeslot at "5 child tickets only". If you need that, run the ticket types as separate services with their own capacity.
Where you see the breakdown
Once a ticketed booking comes in, the split shows up everywhere you look at that booking:
- The booking list shows a summary like "2× Adult, 1× Kid" under the quantity.
- The booking details panel has a Tickets section listing each type, its quantity, and its price.
- Confirmation and reminder emails, SMS messages, and your calendar sync show the same summary.
Ticket types always appear in the order you set them on the service, not the order the customer picked them.
Working with deposits
Deposits and ticket types work together. The deposit is calculated from the full value of the whole ticket selection, and when you later send an invoice for the balance, it is itemized by ticket type at your current Shopify prices.
Refunds also cover every ticket line on the booking, so refunding a mixed booking returns the full amount the customer paid.
Things to know
A few situations do not split by ticket type yet:
- Point of Sale. An in-store booking taken through the POS extension always uses your first ticket type at its price.
- Bookings you create in the admin. Creating a booking by hand picks one variant and a count, so it cannot mix types.
- Package redemption. Redeeming a prepaid package against a ticketed service books without a per-type split.
- Duplicating a service. A copy starts with ticket types turned off. Turn them on again on the copy to create its own variants.
- Other currencies. If a customer is browsing in a currency other than your store's own, the picker shows ticket names without prices. The correct converted price appears at checkout.
