Ticket types let you sell the same time at different prices. A farm tour can sell Adult at $30, Child at $15, and Baby at $0. A family books 2 adults and 1 child in one checkout, and you get one booking that shows how many of each.
Ticket types need the Pro Plus plan or higher.
Turn on ticket types
- On the Dashboard, open the service.
- On the General tab, find Sell multiple ticket types.
- Turn on the switch, then click Turn on ticketing to confirm.
- Type a Ticket name and a price, such as "Adult" and "30".
- Click Add ticket type for each other price, such as "Child" and "15".
- Click Save in the bar at the top of the page.
The app adds one variant per ticket type to the Shopify product, under an option called Ticket type. Customers see this name in the cart and on their receipt.
On your store, after picking a time, customers see Select your tickets with a counter for each type.
Use a price of 0 for free tickets, such as babies or carers. They still take a place, so your headcount stays right.
Rules
- 1 to 20 ticket types per service.
- Each name must be different. "Adult" and "adult" count as the same.
- Prices must be 0 or more.
- Ticket types cannot be used with Fixed Price Booking, Book without payment, or subscriptions. If one of these is on, the switch is grayed out. Hover over it to see which one.
Change, remove, or turn off
- Change a name or price: edit it in Sell multiple ticket types and click Save. The app updates the Shopify variant.
- Remove a type: click the delete button on its row and click Save. Past bookings keep their ticket details.
- Turn off: turn off the switch and click Save. Your ticket types are kept for next time. The Ticket type option and the
Servicify Ticketingtag stay on the Shopify product. Remove them in Shopify if you want.
Change ticket names and prices in the app, not in Shopify. If someone changes the variants in Shopify, the service shows Ticket types were changed in Shopify. Click Import changes from Shopify to accept them. Checkout always charges the Shopify price, so customers are never charged the wrong amount.
Places and capacity
All ticket types share the same places. If a time has 10 places and someone books 2 adults and 1 child, 7 places are left.
You cannot limit one type, such as "no more than 5 child tickets". To do that, make each type its own service.
Where you see the tickets
- The booking list shows a summary, such as "2× Adult, 1× Child".
- The booking has a Tickets section with each type, the number, and the price.
- Emails, texts, and calendar events show the same summary.
Deposits, invoices, and refunds cover every ticket on the booking.
Not split by ticket type yet
- Shopify POS bookings use your first ticket type.
- Bookings you add in the app use one ticket type and a count.
- Package bookings do not split by type.
- A copied service starts with ticket types off. Turn them on again for the copy.
- Other currencies: customers shopping in another currency see ticket names without prices. Checkout shows the right converted price.
